About the role
A confidential children's residential provider is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Residential Support Worker role with sleep-ins across small Good-rated homes in Bradford. The post is based across BD13 and BD12 locations.
You will work as part of an established care team, supporting young people in a safe, consistent and compassionate home environment. The service provides a full training package, including an NVQ Level 4 for unqualified starters.
The role follows a three-week rolling rota and includes sleep-ins. Qualified pay is £32,248.55 per year, including sleeps; unqualified pay is £31,754.55 per year, including sleeps.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, consistent and therapeutic residential care to young people aged 11-18
- Support daily routines, education, activities, health and positive outcomes
- Work flexible days, evenings, sleep shifts and handovers on a rolling rota
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and risk management
- Work collaboratively with the wider home team and external professionals
Essential requirements
- At least 12 months' experience working with children and young people aged 11-17
- Flexible approach to a three-week rolling rota and sleep shifts
- Full driving licence, own vehicle for business use and business insurance
- Aged 21 or over
- Able to evidence strong knowledge of supporting children and young people
Desirable requirements
- Level 3 or Level 4 Residential Childcare qualification, or equivalent
- Experience in a therapeutic children's home
- TCI training or willingness to complete training
